Course Overview

The Essentials for Leadership Certificate program is an experiential and interactive 24-hour program designed to help build a solid foundation to increase communication and understanding between leaders and their teams. Each course is designed to be innovative and fresh, providing real solutions to real workplace situations without the boring data that we have all heard before.

The premise of this certificate is simple: In theory everything works. But it’s the implementation and follow through that actually matters. You can google many ways to be a better leader, but the question is… how do you actually do it and what are tried and true methods that actually work?

Each session, the participants will be given a series of tasks to complete before the following session to practice and experiment with techniques and ideas taught in the sessions.
After completing this training program, leaders will have a better understanding of their responsibilities, a commitment to personal accountability and the tools necessary to promote a positive team environment.

Participant Outcomes:

The participants are eligible to receive the Essentials for Leadership Certificate when they complete the 8 sessions that have been designed to provide potential (and current) leaders real solutions to real workplace situations. This curriculum was designed:

  • to build a solid foundation for line and mid-level managers
  • to achieve the goal of helping participants own their communication styles while leading a team
  • to build a motivated environment filled with energy and enthusiasm amongst peers sharing the same experience
